Green Music Fest Announces Headliners

Spring is in the air, which means street festivals will be starting to pop up across the city. Shutting down a busy street to enjoy live music and drink some Buds with friends has become a time-honored tradition in the city and if that's your bag, then say hello to the Green Music Fest. Brought to you by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and Subterranean, this fest will be descending upon Wicker Park June 10 and 11. Now in its ninth year, the Green Music Fest is unique to the city as it not only provides some top-notch music acts but also showcases environmentally conscious groups and green technologies that fest-goers can participate in. Bright Beat will also be on hand to educate attendees on eco-education and sustainability programming. A handful of green vendors will also be setting up tables to show off their eco-friendly products, and a number of Lagunitas brews will be on hand for adults to sip on. Along with being an environmentally friendly fest, Green Music Fest is packed with musical guests, and 2017 is no different. This year's headliners include:
  • Alt-country-rock group Lucero Sunday, June 11 9 p.m. (North Stage)
  • R&B act JD McPherson Saturday, June 10 9 p.m. (North Stage)
  • Alternative rock band July Talk Sunday, June 11 7:45 P.M. (North Stage)
Green Music Fest will be happening on Damen Avenue between Schiller Street and North Avenue from 12noon to 10pm daily. A $10 donation is encouraged for admission. For more info, click here.
