You have to love weird music festivals and North Coast Music Festival: Summer’s Last Stand absolutely fits that description. NCMF prides itself on bringing to together a huge gathering of DJ/EDM fanatics, funky jam bands devotees, and intense hip hop followers under the last few days of summer during a few choice days at Union Park! The manages to balance all these different styles quite well, making for a fun experience year in and year out.
The 2017 edition of the fest will be returning to Union Park on September 1st – 3rd and they have released the first wave of performers! NCMF are still keeping a few of the bands on the lineup secret (include one stage headliner), but the majority of the lineup is out and it looks as diverse as ever.
The headliners look quite impressive with Deadmou5 & Eric Prydz teaming together for some electronic madness and Gucci Mane bringing his trap flavored rap on Friday. Saturday’s top acts will include reggae royalty as Damian Marley continues the vibes his father started, the electronic rock STS9, and a DJ set from Carnage. One of Sunday’s headliners is yet to be reveled, but there will definitely be welcome ambient production from Tipper and and every genre you could imagine from Ween.
These headliner definitely fit the usually quality that NCMF is know for and the rest of the lineup shines just as bright. Acts like The Cool Kids, Big Boi, Bonobo, Lil Dicky, and BadBadNotGood lead the pack and are sure to make another worthwhile year for NCMF.
