TCR Mixtape No. 27: Summer Night Drives

There's something about about driving around on a summer night with the windows down and the music blasting that feels ineffable. What is that feeling and why do we seek it? Whether it's high school nostalgia, a feeling of endlessness that often accompanies such drives, or something else entirely, there's always a mood involved. I used to have an entire CD case filled with a disc for each mood...and then streaming services came along. These songs are meant to accompany one of these drives - they all have that strange quality that makes us feel like we're flying down the highway toward some magical place. Cheesy, maybe, but you'll get it when  you press play.
