Eataly PR Advice Leaked to Complaining Customer

After Eataly posters, marketing its white truffles as Italians "worth the smell," made news for its poor reception, a public relations company's advice to ignore a customer complaint about the posters was leaked. The customer, Italian lawyer Brittany Pape, was accidentally covered in an e-mail from Eataly's public relations and social media manager, with instructions not to respond to Pape's complaint. Pape criticized the language used in the food market's posters as comparable to that of Eataly partner Mario Batali, who currently faces accusations of sexual misconduct. (Chicago Tribune).
