Rosa Allegedly Pulling Out of 4th District Congressional Race
Chicago Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa is reportedly planning on pulling out of the race for Congressman Luis Gutierrez's seat. Politico reported Monday that Rosa told supporters that frontrunning challenger Jesus 'Chuy' Garcia was "unbeatable," and the election would "be a landslide," according to unnamed sources. Gutierrez announced in November he wouldn't seek reelection and endorsed Garcia for the post. The Cook County Commissioner forced Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel into a runoff election in 2015. Polling done in December by Politico showed Garcia with a considerable lead against other challengers.
