Meteor Flies Over Chicago, Explodes Over Detroit

A bright fire ball flying over the Midwest Tuesday evening was confirmed by NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office to be a meteorite. According to the U.S. Geological Service, the vibrations from the exploding meteorite amounted to a 2.0 magnitude earthquake. It shook the homes of many Detroit residents (Chicago Tribune).
