Kennedy and Biss Challenge Pritzker About Conversations with Blagojevich
Gubernatorial candidates Chris Kennedy and Daniel Biss challenged J.B. Pritzker on his electability, because of audio of his phone conversation with former Governor Rod Blagojevich, now in prison. The candidates made the charges Tuesday in a gubernatorial forum at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Kennedy and Biss implied that although the audio doesn't reveal a crime by Pritzker, it foreshadows unethical actions he could take as governor. The taped conversations are used in TV commercials for Governor Bruce Rauner's reelection campaign. Carbondale's Democratic Party was also questioned for its inability to overcome a majority Trump vote in its area (Chicago Tribune).
