MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26th
Slide Show @ The Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave., 7:00PM, 21+
WHAT: Great performers crafting their art with the most entertaining of the Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint
SO WHAT: Hosted and produced by Luke Taylor, Slide Show lets alt-comedians and performance artists take that boring old program and its colorful graphs to new hilarious heights. No longer solely under the purview of businessmen, PowerPoint has become a launching off point for some interesting work that look nothing like your high school presentations.
NOW WHAT: Tickets are $7 for this great night of comedy!
Free Monday: Suzie / Wavy ID / Woongi / Feeltrip DJs @ Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western Ave., 8:30PM, 21+
WHAT: It’s still February and the passionate sounds are still ringing
SO WHAT: The smooth and sexy tunes of local musician Wavy ID will be filling up the Bottle during February last Free Monday. Wavy ID, the musical project of Adam LP, released bummerpop vol. 2 last year, a collection of self described “psychedelic pop-erotica” and it is amazing. Joining him will be equally tantalizing synths of Suzie, the psychedelic pop of Woongi, and Feeltrip records will be handling the DJ needs throughout the night!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27th
Duly Noted Music & Live Lit Show: “Secrets” @ On Tour Brewing Co., 1725 W Hubbard St., 7:30PM, 21+
WHAT: The second installment of Duly Noted!
SO WHAT: On Tour Brewing Co. will be hosting for Duly Noted, a music and live lit show started by Christina Brandon and Dee Fuentes. The show welcomes all kinds of music styles and stories on a theme. There will be live music by Better Promises and true stories on the theme of the month, “Secrets.”
NOW WHAT: The show is free but donations are collected to benefit a local, non-profit organization. This month, it’s the Chicago Foundation for Women.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28th
A Babely Bazaar @ Slippery Slope, 2357 N Milwaukee Ave., 8:00PM - 11:00PM, 21+
WHAT: Slippery Slope is showcasing some very talented local artists!
SO WHAT: Very talented local artists will have their fantastic creations on display for you to browse and buy! You can grab a bite to eat, have a drink and purchase yourself a one of a kind gift. Each of these artists will have her own booth featuring a variety of unique & handmade items. CHIRP Night w/ 8-bit crEEps and Superfrye @ The Whistler,2421 N Milwaukee Ave., 8:30PM, 21+
WHAT: A monthly dose of CHIRP curated music at the Whistler
SO WHAT: Every fourth Wednesday of the month, CHIRP takes over The Whistler for an evening of great music performed by CHIRP-curated local artists. You will be able to enjoy some wonderful music, the Whistler’s take on classic cocktails, and the good feeling of supporting independent radio at this monthly event. This edition of the event will feature two wonderful bands: 8-bit crEEps and Superfrye!
