Ah, the Monday after the Oscars. MONDAY, MARCH 5th Ajúa Presents: LatIndie @ Emporium Arcade Bar Wicker Park, 1366 N Milwaukee Av., 7:00pm - 10:00pm, 21+ WHAT: Discover some wonderful Latino music SO WHAT: Latindie is a showcase of Latino Music featuring international and national special guests performing alongside Chicago's best. Artist included in this month's showcase include the inventive musical style of Nev, Sara Ontaneda and her mix of R&B and latin influences, Chicago based singer songwriter Joslyn-Marie, Michelle J. Rodriguez's soulful musical project MICHA, and DÉCIMA with her electronic R&B  and theatrical performances. NOW WHAT: Entry is $5 or free with RSVP 100% Off Bands: Uma Bloo / Boniface / Xoe Wise @ Schubas, 3159 N Southport Ave., 8:00PM, 21+ WHAT: Excellent dreamy jams to get your week started SO WHAT: 100% Off Band's will be kicking off the working week with three fantastic artists: Uma Bloo and her dreamy indie rock that highlights her unique voice, the gentle synth pop delights of Boniface, and the exuberant pop rock of  Xoe Wise. NOW WHAT: It's free! TUESDAY, MARCH 6th Tuesday Funk #114 @ Hopleaf, 5148 N Clark St.,7:00pm, 21+ WHAT: An eclectic monthly reading series that celebrates good writing and good beer. SO WHAT: Andrew Huff and Eden Robins co-host Tuesday Funk, an eclectic monthly reading series where a group of writers read their works while the audience takes in a drink or two. Housed in the upstairs bar at Hopleaf, Tuesday Funk constantly delivers wonderful writers sharing their best work. Readers will include Tony Romano, Ruben Quesada, Sahar Mustafah, David Daskal and Billy Lombardo! NOW WHAT: Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30 sharp. So get there early to grab a seat, but not overly early. Admission is always free and the event is 21 and older. 100% Off Bands: Pool Holograph / Mauno / Sean Green @ Schubas, 3159 N Southport Ave., 9:00PM, 21+ WHAT: Another free show for your Tuesday SO WHAT: Local experimental psych rockers Pool Holograph will be stopping by Schubas to jam out as they perform their recently released record Transparent World! Joining them will be Mauno and their experimental pop and the funky grooves of Sean Green. NOW WHAT:As stated in the title of the event and the Monday edition of the series: it’s free! WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7th Alex Cameron / Molly Burch / Holiday Sidewinder @ Lincoln Hall, 2424 N Lincoln Ave., 8:00pm, WHAT: Fresh tunes for the middle of your week. SO WHAT: Alex Cameron has been making some of the most interesting modern rock music. Fresh off last year’s evocative Forced Witness (which features a duet with Angel Olsen “Stranger’s Kiss") and touring with The Killers earlier this year, Cameron is set to put on one hell of a show. Joining him will be Molly Burch and her country-kissed sound and the shimmering pop of Holiday Sidewinder. NOW WHAT: Tickets are only $15 for this great show! Ryley Walker March Residency @ Cafe Mustache, 2313 N Milwaukee Ave., 9:00pm, 21+ WHAT: An all improv residency SO WHAT: Ryley Walker will be having a March residency at Cafe Mustache! Walker will perform two great sets each night with a variety of Chicago musicians jamming their night away. This evening Walker will be joined by Leroy Bach (gtr/keys), Dan Bitney (drums), and Ben Lamar Gay (trumpet/keys/electronics)! NOW WHAT: There will be a $5-$10 donation accepted at the door
