Pitchfork Musical Festival’s Full Lineup Announcement Is Here!
Over the past two weeks, Pitchfork Music Festival has been carefully announcing their 2018 lineup. The reveals have taken place with a pair of hour long videos featuring artists revealing musicians and bands on a Camillo Medina mural outside of Violet Hour. However it seems they have opted out of the long form announcements and revealed the rest of their diverse and expertly curated lineup earlier this morning!
Joining Tame Impala as festival headliners will be Fleet Foxes on Saturday and Ms. Lauryn Hill closing out the fest on Sunday. This will be Fleet Foxes return to the festival after a 7 year long absence and Hill's addition to the lineup is incredibly interesting as she will be performing her sole solo album, The Miseducation Of Ms. Lauryn Hill, in its entirety.
One of the bigger surprises is just how much of Chicago's presence is evident on the lineup. Local highlights added this week include Paul Cherry, Nnamdi Ogbonnaya, Saba, and Circuit des Yeux who will be joining the previously announced local acts Melkbelly, The Curls, Ravyn Lenae, Joshua Abrams & Natural Information Society, Kweku Collins, Noname, Chaka Khan and more Chicago related acts.
