Polls Open Until 7pm–Get Out and Vote!
Polls opened at 6 across Illinois for the state’s primary election, which features several extremely close races, and one of the most expensive gubernatorial races in history. Early voting numbers dwarfed the 2014 midterms, with more than 330,000 people statewide casting ballots ahead of election day. Campaign spending hit a historic high in both the Republican and Democratic gubernatorial primaries, with candidates spending at least $160 million. Polls will remain open until 7pm.
