Riot Fest’s First Wave Lineup is Out and It’s Fantastic

Last night, Riot Fest gave the world it's first look at this year's festival lineup. With a whole day of hype behind it (including a polka themed teaser video that you can watch below), there was quite a lot riding on the 8:00pm announcement. Luckily, this is Riot Fest we're talking about. Their lineups are always a breath of fresh air in a sea of typical this, same old that. They're always pushing towards more diverse and innovative lineups. Now in its 14th year, Riot Fest knows exactly how to build an impressive lineup and 2018's festival will have some pretty incredible artists across five stages in historic Douglas Park. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnVLmijG_dI Some of the currently announced headliners include longstanding music icons Blink-182 and Beck (with a third to be revealed during Riot Fest’s second wave announcement, coming in a few weeks). Add to that downright legends like Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Costello and you have yourself an incredibly tight lineup. But that barely scratches the surface of Riot Fest's offerings. What other festival would have the likes of Father John Misty's sardonic crooning, Atmosphere's socially-conscious and enlightening rhymes, the political protest sounds of Pussy Riot, and Cat Power's serene voice on one bill?  There are just too many exciting bands, from locals Twin Peaks and Beach Bunny to just about to debut bands like Calpurina to tried and true Riot Fest Favorites GWAR and Andrew W.K. Checkout the rest of the lineup below or over at Riot Fest's website! You can purchase tickets now with three day passes starting at $160. Don't miss this year's Riot Fest!
