GALLERY: Christmas Around the World at MSI Chicago and Holiday Quiz

Photo: Marielle Shaw Merry Christmas to all of our readers from all of us at Third Coast Review, and Happy Holidays! We hope you're enjoying your time, whether you're awaiting Christmas dinner or recovering from it, have opened presents or are anticipating them, and are home in Chicago or farther flung. We'd like to present to you a gallery of one of our favorite Christmas traditions in Chicago (though there are many good ones)-- the Museum of Science and Industry's annual Christmas Around the World and Holiday of Lights show. In case you didn't get a chance to ogle the great tree and stand indoors in the snow, take a look! Photo: Marielle Shaw We've prepared a little holiday quiz for you, as well! Take a look at the individual close-ups from MSI's many trees, and see if you can guess what nation they represent. It's a great way to test your geographical holiday knowledge (and create a little Christmas excitement amongst competitive family members!) Trees at MSI represent years of international tradition, and are often decorated by local groups representing the countries that they come from. Each year brings something different, and we hope you enjoy! Answers to the quiz will be at the bottom of this post.   Photo: Marielle Shaw Are you ready for the answers? Scroll down a bit more to reveal them. Photo: Marielle Shaw Here are the answers, in order: Finland, Romania, India (Diwali, a Holiday of Light), Columbia, Hungary, Norway, Kenya, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Belgium, England, Russia, Greece We hope you enjoyed seeing this gallery and reading Third Coast Review this holiday season. Happy holidays to all!
