THURSDAY, AUGUST 8th
Eye Flys / Fashion Week / Propane Propane @ Reggies, 2105 S State St, 8:00pm, 21+
WHAT: An great night of razor sharp noise rock
SO WHAT: Eye Flys smashes together the talents of four musicians from the likes of Full of Hell, Backslider, and Triac for a band fit to send you down a spiral of intense sludgy rock grit. Their debut Context (out Sep. 13th) was birthed on the excitement of the band inception, focusing on sending each members considerable experience in to overdrive to deliver something out of their wheelhouse. Context is full of commanding, lean noise rock that will leave you . Joining them will be Fashion Week and Propane Propane!

Chicago Hot Dog Fest 2019 @ Chicago History Museum, 1701 N Stockton Dr, Friday & Saturday 11:00 – 9:00pm, Sunday 11:00am -8:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: Celebrate the 7th year of this fun hotdog indulgence!
SO WHAT: The Chicago Hot Dog Fest celebrates the all the possibilities that a hot dog can experience. Chicago’s great hot dog vendors will offer both traditional and new takes on the standard encased meat. You can enjoy some cold beverages to wash down all the amazing hot-dog-themed food while going around and enjoying the rest of the festivities. There will also be plenty of games and a stage to hear some great music! Check out more details on their event page!
NOW WHAT: Admission to the festival is a suggested $5 donation that goes straight to the Chicago History Museum! Food and drink tickets are available for purchase using Hot Dog Dollars!

Thirsty Ears Music Festival @ Wilson Street Between Hermitage and Ravenswood, Saturday 1:00pm – 10:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm-9:00pm, All Ages
WHAT:The fourth annual Thirsty Ears Festival,
SO WHAT: Thirsty Ears Festival is Chicago’s only street fair centered on classical music. Hosted by Access Contemporary Music, performers will feature music from the whole classical spectrum, from baroque to contemporary. Check out our full preview of the event here!
NOW WHAT: There is a $10 suggested donation for the fest! All proceeds support the ACM School of Music, a non-profit organization.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 9th
Picnics on the Porch: Robbie Fulks @ The Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave, 6:00pm, 21+
WHAT: Summer evenings on the Hideout porch
SO WHAT: Head down to The Hideout to enjoy an intimate performance right on their front porch. The Hideout and All Together Now have teamed up for a very special food and music series featuring picnic meals and snacks, acoustic music curated by The Hideout, and drink specials available from Deep Eddy Vodka. This evening will include the wonderful sound of Robbie Fulks!

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, AUGUST 10th & 11th
My House Music Festival 2019 @ Harrison Park, 1824 S. Wood St, Noon – 10:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: My House Music Festival is back for its fourth year of House Music in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood!
SO WHAT: My House Music Festival is a great two day experience of excellent music in the birthplace of House Music. There will be tons of family friendly activities, live art, performances, and access to local food, alcohol & merchandise vendors. You can check out the full lineup of DJs, vendors, and more here!
NOW WHAT: Tickets are $10 per day, $18 for a weekend pass, $100 for VIP per day, and $175 for weekend VIP. Guests 17 & under enter for free, no ticket necessary! My House Music Festival is a nonprofit event – net proceeds are donated back to local organizations. This year’s beneficiaries include Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Yollocalli Arts Reach, and Sprouting Leaders.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 10th
Sammy Cannillo and Kacie Swierk @ Shuga Records, 1272 N Milwaukee Ave, 2:30pm – 5:30pm, All Ages
WHAT: An excellent instore show at Shuga Records
SO WHAT: Sammy Cannillo and Kacie Swierk will be stopping by Shuga for a must see instore show. Cannillo will be celebrating the release of her new song What Happened”, a fantastic dream-pop track perfect for these final weeks of summer. The song dances around themes of just how unreliable memory is, underlined by psychedelic guitar riffs and indie pop cadence that makes it all the more sweet. Swierk will be dazzling the crate diggers with her beautiful songs that but an emphasis on storytelling and intricately weave Alternative Folk and Americana together in a seamless presentation.

Herbie Hancock & Kamasi Washington @ Huntington Bank Pavilion,1300 S Linn White Dr, 6:30pm, All Ages
WHAT: Two jazz behemoths in one night
SO WHAT: This evening at Huntington Bank Pavilion, a wonderful range of jazz will be on display as the iconic Herbie Hancock and new legend Kamasi Washington take over the outdoor venue. Hancock’s vast talent and history as one of the premier jazz pianists of all time will be co-headlining with Washington’s modern take on the genre.This is an incredible evening that should not be missed !

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11th
Chicago Mixtape Festival 2019 @ Sleeping Village, 3734 W Belmont Ave, 3:00pm, 21+
WHAT: Chicago International Movies and Music presents Chicago Mixtape Festival 2019, an all day event of special musical performances from excellent local musicians.
SO WHAT: Sleeping Village is one of the best venues in town and they will be welcoming an eclectic line up of amazing musicians to take their stage for a special evening of music. Rich Jones,, CJ Run, Emily Blue, Free Snacks, Wyatt Waddell, Little Church and special guests will be performing and giving the crowd a taste of Chicago sounds!. The all day event kicks off at 3pm with a patio cookout with food by Chef KEVOCOOKS followed by music starting at 6pm.
