THURSDAY & FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12th &13th

Thurston Moore & Devin Brahja Waldman @ Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western Ave,, Thursday 8:00pm, Friday 9:00pm, 21+
WHAT: Two nights of rockin madness
SO WHAT:  Singer, writer and guitarist Thurston Moore will be stopping by the Empty Bottle and show off his legendary musical prowess! Get ready for a two-night stint of off the wall, experimental, and downright awe-inducing musicianship. Joining him will be the incredible Devin Brahja Waldman.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12th

Brian Hoyt & Mike Maimone @ Lagunitas Chicago, 2607 W 17th St, 5:00pm – 9:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: A night of free tunes
SO WHAT: Grabs some delicious beers and a few bites from the kitchen as you sit back and enjoy the sounds of Brian Hoyt and Mike Maimone! This will be Maimone’s (of Mutts) final show as a Chicagoan as he departs for Nashville, so make sure to check him out!

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13th

Chadwick Stokes and the Pintos & Mihali @ Lincoln Hall, 2424 N Lincoln Ave, 7:00pm, 18+
WHAT: A fine evening of wonderful music
SO WHAT: Chadwick Stokes and the Pintos will be making their way for a fantastic show at Lincoln Hall! Stokes brings with him a long music history; from his early band Dispatch to his politically driven band State Radio. His music has always had a surge for social and political change. Outside of music he and his wife, Sybil, founded Calling All Crows, a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging music fans around women’s issues both at home and abroad. Stokes’ brand of folk music thrives to bring people together. Joining him will be Mihali!

So Many Singing Vol.  2 Release Show @ Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave, 9:00pm, 21+
WHAT: A show for Ruination Record Co.’s So Many Singing Vol. 2, the second installment in their compilation series in support of immigrant rights.
SO WHAT: So Many Singing Vol. 2 unites 50 different artists in a collaborative effort to support organizations working both locally and globally in support of immigrant rights!  All proceeds from the compilation will go to the International Refugee Assistance Project. The IRAP organizes lawyers and law students to develop and enforce a set of legal and human rights to refugees and displaced persons. This special release show will feature Minor Moon, Liam Kazar, and Adeline Hotel!
NOW WHAT: Tickets are $8. Proceeds from the Chicago release show will go to the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), who are focused on promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14th

31st Annual Holiday for Hope @ Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway , 10:00am – 3:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: A chance to spread joy this holiday season
SO WHAT: Kids are given a chance to experience the joy, generosity and love of the holiday season. In Chicago over 1,200 children and their families will be hosted, as they have been since 1989, to a spectacular day. Food, gifts, music, dance, face painting, crafts, sports, books, resources, and experience of a lifetime all under one roof.
NOW WHAT: Register here for this very special event. $5 for kids and $10 for adults

Dino Hugs @ Bangers & Lace, 1670 W Division St,11:00am -11:00pm, 21+
WHAT: Three great local companies crafting a day to remember
SO WHAT: Half Acre, Off Color and Bangers & Lace are getting together to throw a dark beer event like no other! This evening of great brews features a 5 year vertical of Off Color Dino S’mores and 3 year vertical of Big Hugs in addition to both 2019 Big Hugs variants (Vanilla Hugs and BBA Hugs). There will also be a Dice Game Raffle starting at 3pm with chances to win Half Acre x Off Color swag packs! All proceeds from Dice Night will be gong to RAICES Texas, which is a nonprofit that provides legal representation for underprivileged immigrants, specifically families and children.

Queer Makers Market: A Holiday Pop Up @ In These Times,2040 N Milwaukee Ave, 11:00am – 5:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: Support Chicago-based queer, trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex artists this holiday season at the Queer Makers Market Holiday Pop Up!
SO WHAT: Still need to get a good chunk of your holiday shopping done? Then head to this wonderful maker market featuring handcrafted postcards, prints, jewelry, ceramics, accessories, apparel and more by local artists, activists, organizers and cultural workers.
NOW WHAT: Entry is Free!

Hopewell Holiday Bazaar @ Hopewell Brewing Company, 2760 N Milwaukee Ave, Noon – 5:00pm
WHAT: The Hopewell Holiday Bazaar is back!
SO WHAT: Join Hopewell Brewing Company for their fourth annual holiday market to get all your gift-buying settled, indulge in some excellent beers and partake in some snacking needs. This year’s vendors include: Adornment and Theory, Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits, Comercio Popular, cursive design, Hello Paper Co., Up in the Air Somewhere, Plant Shop Chicago, Fleur, and Spirit Tea!
NOW WHAT: Entry is free! Portion of beer sales will benefit Eight Weeks for Access, a fundraiser dedicated to raising funds for abortion access across the country.

Handmade Market Chicago @ Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western Ave, Noon – 4:00pm
WHAT: Shopping, eating, and drinking all in one place
SO WHAT: Grab some food next door at Bite Cafe, maybe a drink from the Empty Bottle Bar, and start shopping the Handmade Market Chicago! They will be bringing over 30 makers of beautiful and unique items to the Empty Bottle! Join in and see what all the sellers will have to offer. You can check out some of the sellers that will be featured over on their Facebook events page.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15th

The Revolution Craft Show @ Revolution Taproom, 3340 N Kedzie Ave, Noon – 6:00pm
WHAT: Crafts and beer in one place
SO WHAT: The Revolution Craft Show well be getting into the holiday spirit with this winter show at Revolution taproom. You’ll be able to get your holiday shopping done by shopping handcrafted goods from 40+ local artists. In addition to the unique mix of crafts, there will be plenty of Revolution Brewery beer and food trucks on hand.
NOW WHAT: Bring a friend or two and enjoy the afternoon with this free, just bring some cash for good beer and great crafts.

Bazaar of the Occult: An Occult X-Mas Pop Up @ The Den Theatre, 1331 N Milwaukee Ave, 5:00pm – 11:00pm
WHAT: Shop some of the strange & spiritual with the best Chicago has to offer
SO WHAT: If you missed out on the October edition of Bazaar of the Occult, this is your chance to indulge in the occult goodness celebrating the Yuletide season. Over 40 artists will set up shop offering art, apparel, jewelry, tarot readings, palmistry, drinks, giveaways & more
