Support Third Coast Review: Our Year-End Fundraiser to Pay our Writers

Now through December 31, Third Coast Review is raising money to support the diverse roster of writers you know and appreciate for their thoughtful, insightful arts and culture coverage in Chicago and beyond. Everything raised during this time will go directly to paying these writers a well-deserved year-end stipend; you can make a contribution here.

A Note from Managing Editor Lisa Trifone

Dear Reader,

Over the next several weeks, you’ll hear from our incredible team of writers, editors, and contributors about why Third Coast Review matters—not just to us, but to Chicago’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

This is the first time we've ever run a fundraiser of our own, and we're doing it for one reason: to pay our writers.

Third Coast Review is a labor of love for everyone who contributes. None of us take a payment for the work we do to make the site a reality. That's just how important we believe local, independent arts journalism is.

However, if we meet our revenue goals, we can continue our tradition of dispersing year-end stipends to our most active writers as our way of thanking them for the work they do to keep Third Coast Review your go-to source for arts and culture coverage in Chicago.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 by December 31, and in the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more on the writers your contribution supports and much more. Here's what to expect:

  • Personal stories from our team about why they write for Third Coast Review and what your support means to them.
  • Spotlights on our favorites, including local venues, hidden gems, and creative projects we love.
  • Opportunities to celebrate with us, including details on an in-person Reader Appreciate event in the New Year.

If you’re inspired to get involved early, you don’t have to wait! Make your donation today to help us build momentum. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

Thank you for being part of the Third Coast Review community. Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share more with you in the weeks ahead.

Warmly,
Lisa
