WHAT: 13 Chicago writers will read excerpts from their favorite banned books in celebration of Banned Books Week.
SO WHAT: It’s a benefit for the American Civil Liberties Union, which supports our Constitutional rights every day. The American Library Association’s Office of Intellectual Freedom sponsors Banned Books Week every year. See our preview, which lists the readers and some of the books to be read.
NOW WHAT: Tickets are pay what you can with a $10 suggested donation. Proceeds will go to the ACLU of Illinois.
