About this event:
WHAT: New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast will talk about her new graphic guide, Going Into Town: A Love Letter to New York, to be published October 3.
SO WHAT: Chast, a native Brooklynite turned suburban commuter, was amazed at the nature of the non-city milieu. (You can own trees!? You have to drive!?) Her children, raised in suburbia, had the opposite reaction on their visits to Manhattan. The book is a guide to and thank-you note to Manhattan. The American Writers Museum and Chicago Public Library are presenting the event. Chast is also the author of the award-winning graphic memoir, Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?
NOW WHAT: Seating is first come, first seated. Books will be available for purchase and the author will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
