WHAT: Heavenly music for the masses
SO WHAT: While I’d be hard pressed to qualify Kevin Morby’s music as religious, the theme of religion has been apparent throughout his music and on his latest album Oh My God, it’s teeming with it. Oh My God deals with the religious experiences all around us, especially when they are bereft of an actual religion. This is as secular as a gospel album can get and its goddamn amazing. Joining him will be Sam Cohen, who not only helped produce Oh My God, but is an incredibly talented musician in his own right.
