WHAT: June has been an important month in Chicago’s history. Test your knowledge of the city’s history and learn more about key people and events during this virtual trivia night, co-hosted by the Illinois Labor History Society.
SO WHAT: In between trivia rounds, learn about the ILHS’s role in preserving the Haymarket Martyrs Monument in Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park, unveiled on June 25, 1893, with Larry Spivak. Hear Lucy Parsons herself (Alma Washington) dedicate the monument; and enjoy some classic labor songs performed by Ed Green. Play in teams of up to six people or by yourself; all are welcome.
