Good Vibes: The Goddess and Grocer Gives Back for Pride

The Goddess and Grocer may be your quick lunch pick-up for inventive salads and sandwiches, but their claim to fame has to be their Goddess Rainbow Cake. Vibrantly colored layers of cake are separated by fluffy buttercream and topped with rainbow sprinkles. It is a mainstay cake at The Goddess and Grocer, filled with good vibes for young and old. During June, for every slice of Goddess Rainbow Cake sold, The Goddess and Grocer will be donating $1 to Center on Halsted. There's never been a better time to take a cake break and do a little good at the same time.

The Center on Halsted offers LGBTQIA+ community support including free HIV/STI testing, behaviorial health, youth programming, senior programs, education and employment, and many other resources for connection throughout Chicago. It provides a safe space for culture, wellness, and gathering for the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond and the support of such spaces is increasingly pivotal given the threats on these communities due to the effects of the current administration and threats on equality.

The Goddess and Grocer is located in Bucktown/Wicker Park (1649 N Damen Ave); Fulton Market (911 W Randolph St); Gold Coast (845 N State St), and if you are jetting off for your summer vacation, you can even grab a slice at O'Hare Airport in Terminal 5.
