Rockin’ in the Park @ Parkway Bank Park, 5501 Park Place, Rosemont 
WHAT: A long lineup of great bands ready to rock
SO WHAT: Rockin’ in the Park will take over Parkway Bank Park for 18 shows full of fun tribute bands and rock-focused bands. Then after the shows enjoy a musical fireworks display (except on Fridays)!
NOW WHAT: It’s free! Head out and enjoy the shows!

FRIDAY - SUNDAY, JUNE 13 - JUNE 15 (& BEYOND)

Taste of Randolph @ Randolph St Between Peoria and Racine, 900 W Randolph St, Friday 5pm – 10pm, Saturday & Sunday Noon – 10pm, All Ages
WHAT: Another year of this foodie street festival
SO WHAT: Taste of Randolph brings together some excellent names in Chicago dining, featuring over 16 restaurants known for delectable menus and irresistibly unique flavors, for this delicious event! There will also be a curated a list of bands and musicians (including the biggest names in Chicago house music) performing on two stages to entertain guests on their culinary trip down Randolph. Some of the band highlights include Phantogram, Moontype, Slow Pulp, J.Worra b2b Gene Farris, Spitalfield, Slow Joy,Kyle Watson, Scarlet Demore, OK Go, Chromeo, Yung Bae, and many more! And let’s not forget the Kids Stage Performances!
NOW WHAT: There is a $10 suggested donation to enter the event before 5pm, $15 after 5pm. Taste of Randolph benefits the West Loop Community Organization, which has been advocating for the West Loop neighborhood since 1991, supporting local businesses and economic development

Andersonville Midsommarfest @ Clark from Foster to Gregory (just north of Catalpa), Friday 5pm – 10pm, Saturday Noon – 10pm, Sunday Noon – 9pm,All Ages
WHAT: The Andersonville Midsommarfest is back
SO WHAT: The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce is bringing the Andersonville Midsommarfest experience to the masses with another fantastic year. Experience over tons musical and entertainment acts across five stages including The O’My’s, FACS, MIIRRORS, Madame Reaper, Esso Funk, Wyatt Waddell, Girl K, Manasseh, Rich Jones, and many more. There will also be plenty of activities for the kids and artisan selling their wares throughout the festival grounds!
NOW WHAT: Admission to the Midsommarfest is a $10 suggested donation and there are plenty of fun packages available that include beverage tickets, t-shirts, and more!

ChiTown Movies @ Pilsen Neighborhood, 2343 S. Throop St, Various Times, All Ages
WHAT: An old school experience for the modern age
SO WHAT: Take a trip back in time and head out to a drive-in movie with ChiTown Movies. Ever since the pandemic started and shut down traditional movie screening, a few pop-up drive-ins have arrived and ChiTown Movies has persevered, offering up modern movies in this retro setting. Check out their lineup at their website for showings this weekend and in the future!

NOW WHAT:Tickets are $35 per car for these movies, so bring the family for a safe movie watching experience! Double Features are $45 and triple features are $50

The Neo-Futurists’ The Infinite Wrench @ The Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N Ashland, Friday and Saturday 10:30pm, Sunday 7pm, 16+
WHAT: Quick plays live and online!
SO WHAT: The Neo-Futurists' Infinite Wrench is an ongoing, ever-changing attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes for a live audience.
NOW WHAT: Join the Neo-Futurists this weekend for $15-20!  The Infinite Wrench and more is also available over at their Patreon!

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 14 & 15

Wells Street Art Festival @ Wells St. Between North Ave. and Division, 1400 N Wells Street, Saturday 10am – 10pm, Sunday 10am – 9pm, all ages
WHAT: The 50th anniversary of this great art fest!
SO WHAT: A diverse mix of over 130 juried artists will be filling up this year’s Wells Street Art Festival with their incredible works! Other highlights include the myriad of neighborhood restaurants, excellent live music, and kids’ art activities so everyone has something fun to do at this fest! NOW WHAT: The festival has a $10 suggested donation and fest proceeds will benefit the programs and services of the Old Town Merchants & Residents Association!

The Old Town Art Fair @ Old Town Triangle Historic District, Main Gate at 1900 N Lincoln Avenue, Saturday 10:00am – 7:00pm, Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm, All Ages
WHAT: The Old Town Art Fair is celebrating 75 years!
SO WHAT: Old Town Art Fair brings over 200 nationally acclaimed artists together for a wonderful market in the charming Old Town Triangle Historic District. In addition to all the great artists selling their work, you’ll have a chance to experience a Garden Walk, Live Music, Food Court and Children’s Corner! Check out their website for entry points into the fair and all the scheduled programming!
NOW WHAT: A donation of $12 per adult is kindly requested. Children enter free!

Chicago Humanities: New Talks and Video Archives @ Various Locations & Chicago Humanities Festival YouTube channel, your favorite browser or YouTube app, any time you want some inspiration, All Ages
WHAT: Interesting conversations with interesting people!
SO WHAT: Chicago Humanities Festival always brings some of the best ideas to the surface with entertaining programming that captures your imagination. There's tons of talks going on this season, so head over to their website which is constantly updated with new talks. In fact they just announced a good portion of their Spring lineup! And be sure to check out their podcast Chicago Humanities Tapes, which features conversations with some of their best presenters and other great humanities-minded minds! SO WHAT: The Music Box Theatre recently underwent some great renovations,and it's ready for all your movie needs with some excellent films like Pavements, Friendship, The Phoenician Scheme, The Films of Gene Hackman, midnight screenings of Batman Forever and so much more!
NOW WHAT: Sit back and enjoy a new film at one of our favorite movie theaters in the city!

University of Chicago Folk Festival @ Your favorite spot in your home, All Ages
WHAT: A fantastic folk festival
SO WHAT: University of Chicago Folk Festival might have come and gone but their digital presence is still around, making sure the wonderful music reaches as many people as possible! You can check out the past few years of performances on their Facebook page and their YouTube channel any time you want! This past year's performers included bohola – Jimmy Keane and Pat Broaders; Rhys Jones, Joseph Decosimo & Nokosee Fields; The Alum Ridge Boys & Ashlee; Nathan Gourley, Laura Feddersen, and Brian Miller; T'Monde; Izaki Metropoulos, Sophia Metropoulos Laouto & Geroge Lawler; Gabe Carter, and many more!
