This past weekend Warm Love Cool Dreams took over the entire Salt Shed campus for two days of incredible music. The festival, whose first edition took place back in 2024, made a triumphant return with an excellent lineup and a great vibe! Whether you were roaming around perusing the Oddball Market vendors all over the place, grabbing a bite to eat on the Fairgrounds, or stationing yourself as close as possible to one of the three stages; you were definitely having a special time!
Day one of the festival felt more like the "cool dreams" portion of the fest with a slew of more synth and heavier sounds dominating the lineup. Pixel Grip was undoubtedly a highlight of the under-card as the local band took hold of the indoor stage like no one could. Headliners The Jesus and Mary Chain obviously delighted the outdoor stage, with several longtime fans at the front barricade gushing about this being their first time in the front row after dozens of shows.
The weather was a little warmer for Day Two as the lineup centered around more indie rock and folky tunes, giving headliner Courtney Barnett a fantastic running start to her set. With opening band Tobacco City delivering a perfect cosmic country set that woke up the early afternoon crowd, it was smooth sailing the rest of the day. Nourished by Time really sunk deep into their R&B grooves, Whitney delivers the kinda hometown set you dream of, and of course Courtney Barnett completely rocked out!
