Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) attendees are sure to get thirsty while walking around McCormick Place. Never fear - Revolution Brewing will be
on hand with the event's official beer: Galaxy-Hero IPA. Brewed with Galaxy hops (a citrus-forward hop from Australia), the beer promises to "shoot a raygun blast of Galaxy hops into your mouth and leave a crisp, dry finish." Fans will also have the chance to pick up a collectible Galaxy-Hero mug.
This marks the 7th year of Galaxy-Hero being the convention's official beer. Revolution has been prepping for C2E2 all winter through promotions connected to their League of Heroes IPA series. In December, for example, the brewery announced the League of Heroes: Golden Ticket Sweepstakes 2019.
Lucky drinkers who picked up a League of Heroes 12-pack containing a golden ticket received a Chicago Beer Experience weekend. That weekend included 3-day passes to C2E2 and a $100 Revolution Brewpub gift card. Other promotions included the
C2E2 gamer gathering in February and
League of Heroes Cosplay Party in March. It all culminates next weekend at what Revolution affectionately calls "the biggest geek party in the Midwest."

If you're around town during C2E2 and want to get away from the crowds, you can still grab a C2E2 themed bite if you visit Revolution Brewing's Pub, too.
This year, they've got two delicious burgers to try out, and will be pouring Double Dry-Hopped Galaxy Hero all this week.

The Every Day Burger, named after another beer in the "Hero" series, the Every Day Hero Session IPA features cheddar, house-cured bacon, and onion jam, while the Hero Burger features two patties, "Hero Sauce", American cheese, griddled onion, shredded Romaine and Mighty Vine tomatoes. While neither feature last year's bizarre rainbow bun (that was actually delicious!) they both sound great if getting away from the action and getting some great food and beer is on your mind.
C2E2 runs from Friday, March 22 - Sunday, March 24, 2019 at McCormick Place.
