Toasts: New Year’s Eve Places to Be

You won’t see me at any of these places because I haven’t left the house on New Year's Eve since 2010 and would like to keep that streak alive. But if you are someone who enjoys slipping around in your heels, holding the hair of friends, and staying up past a proper bedtime, here are Chicago's places to be to toast the New Year. Drink up, 2025 will be a doozy. 

If you don’t want to party till midnight:

NEW YEAR’S EVE AT HAWKSMOOR CHICAGO
PRICE: $130/person

DETAILS: Toast 2025 in luxury with steaks, seafood, and champagne at Hawksmoor Chicago, the newest outpost of the British steakhouse, located in a stunning three-story Chicago landmark. The team will serve a hearty set menu featuring favorites from Hawksmoor’s signature menu of steaks made from ethically raised beef and sustainably sourced seafood. The menu begins with a welcome glass of Pierre Sparr Crémant d’Alsace and canapés, including a natural oyster, a Vietnamese oyster with crispy shallots, and a Reuben nugget with Russian dressing. Starters include Charcoal-Roasted Scallops, Carolina-Spiced Pork Belly, and Caesar Salad. For the main course, enjoy a generous Rib of Beef, sliced to share, accompanied by a variety of sides and sauces. TOAST THE NEW YEAR WITH A THREE-COURSE FEAST AT DAISIES
PRICE: $75/person

DETAILS: Ring in the new year with everyone’s favorite Logan Square neighborhood spot known for its Midwest-inspired, vegetable and pasta-focused dishes, Daisies! This year, join Chef Joe Frillman, Chef de Cuisine Thomas Leonard and Pastry/Dessert wizard Leigh Omilinsky, as they present a three-course menu featuring handcrafted, locally sourced dishes to kick off a new year where everything will be coming up Daisies! For just $75 dollars per person, diners will enjoy passed amuse before selecting from a handful of options for the first two savory courses, as well as a choice of final dessert course, all with vegetarian substitutes if needed.

NEW BEGINNINGS AT PENDRY CHICAGO
TIME: Until 2 a.m.
DETAILS: Classic cocktails and fireside toasts await at Pendry Chicago, from celebrations at Bar Pendry to bites and bubbles at Chateau Carbide. Make the end of 2024 a night to remember, complete with live music and a champagne toast at midnight. 

For the party people:

TIME: 6pm-9pm
PRICE: $30/person includes 2 drink tickets, open game play and a welcome shot.

DETAILS: Ping pong is the way to warm up for the countdown. Gather your crew, get in some healthy competition, and pretend you’re too busy trying to ace your serve to talk about “mindful eating” in 2025. DETAILS: Take aim at an unforgettable New Year’s Eve at Flight Club, where groups of all sizes can gather to ring in 2025. Guests can purchase individual tickets or group packages for up to 15 people to join the celebration.
